Our itinerary offers a little bit of everything: outdoor activities like snorkeling, shopping, dining, and cultural events. No matter what you like to do, we’ve got you covered!

Morning

Breakfast at Kihei Caffe

Rise and shine! Now that you’ve had a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel, it’s time to ease into the weekend with breakfast at the legendary Kihei Caffe. This beloved local spot is known for hearty plates like the Hawaiian favorite loco moco and fluffy French toast!

Beach Time!

It’s time to hit the beach! There are so many beautiful beaches to choose from in Kihei, but we especially love Kamaole Beach Parks. These beaches are perfect for swimming, sunbathing, bodyboarding, or catching a sunset stroll. For added safety and convenience, there are also lifeguards on duty, restrooms, and play areas! This is the perfect spot to start your day.

Afternoon

Lunch at South Maui Gardens

South Maui Gardens is a nursery with over a dozen local food trucks and an event space. It’s perfect for casual bites and picnic seating amid gorgeous greenery!

Explore Paia Town

After lunch, it’s time to explore Paia Town on the North Shore. This delightful little coastal town is filled with quirky shops, restaurants, and a lively local vibe that you’ll love. While you’re here, you can get in a nice after-lunch walk, do some people watching, and grab some unique souvenirs. You’ll be glad you did!

Evening

Dinner and Live Music at Monkeypod Kitchen

Once you get back to our vacation rental, it’s time to get changed and get ready for dinner! We recommend Monkeypod Kitchen, which combines a relaxed atmosphere with an elevated menu featuring local ingredients and craft cocktails. This delightful joint is popular for its foam-topped Mai Tai and tasty wood-fired pizzas! Stick around and have a nightcap as you watch live music, as well.

Breakfast at Kalia Café

Swing in for breakfast at the cute and cozy Kalia Café. Kalia translates to “beloved” in Hawaiian, and this is definitely a beloved little establishment here in Kihei. Choose from menu items such as bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and morning beverages like iced coffee and smoothies. This is a perfect way to fuel your day!

Maui Ocean Center

Your next stop on the itinerary is the Maui Ocean Center, which features the largest tropical reef display in the Western Hemisphere! Don't miss the interactive cultural exhibits and the incredible 750,000-gallon open-ocean tunnel. It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience! You'll have the opportunity to see live coral reefs, turtles, sharks, rays, and much, much more. The Maui Ocean Center is such a fantastic way to learn about marine conservation!

Lunch at Nalu’s South Shore Grill

After the Maui Ocean Center, head Nalu's South Shore Grill. This open-air eatery features locally sourced recipes and a hearty lunch menu. You can choose from a variety of delicious options, including island-style ribs, bulgogi burgers, a poke bowl of the day, and Pacific mahi mahi.

Back to the Beach

Now it’s time to go back to the beach to relax. If you want to, you can explore some quieter, off-the-beaten-path spots such as Kalepolepo Beach Park, which was once used as a fishing spot for Hawaiian Royalty!
